Providing information

Provides materials required
for planning and preparing conventions. They include information on venues and
accommodations, tourist and transport brochures, introductory video and photographs
of the city. |

Welcoming visits to venues before conventions
|
Coordinates visits for selecting venues
and accommodations before conventions and accompanies to them. |
|
Reserving and coordinating venues and accommodations
|
Creates plans and quotations for venues
according to size of conventions, etc. as well as coordinates venues and accommodations.
It is possible to tentatively reserve public facilities more than 1 year before
conventions if the reservation is made through us. |

Introducing interested entities
|
Introduces to interested entities, such
as of transport, sightseeing, and hotels, necessary to hold conventions. |
| Public relations and advertisement
for conventions |
Conducts conduct public relations and advertisement
campaigns though our journal, website, and Public Relations Division of the city. |

Coordinating with local government
|
Supports coordination with the local government.
It includes sponsorship, invitation of mayor, etc. |

Supporting promotion activities
|
Provides information and other supports
to promote conventions. |

Supports during and after conventions |
 |
|
Providing tourist brochures and other materials
|
Provides all participants with
tourist brochures (in Japanese, English, Korean, and other languages) as well
as the city guide "Yo-oidetanamoshi (Very Welcome)" including discount
coupons for tourist spots, restaurants, etc. |

Providing nylon bags
|
Provides all participants with nylon bags
for carrying meeting materials. |

Welcome signboard
|
Installs a signboard at Matsuyama Airport
if conventions are held for more than 1,000 people. (Note that, as the space for
signboards is limited, we prioritize the conventions for which signboards are
requested at the beginning of the year.) Also, arranges the installation of signboards
at ports and stations. (Please create signboards of your own.)

Planning and arranging excursions and other activities
|
Plans, introduces, and arranges excursions,
attractions, and special programs for companions. |

Sending tourism volunteers
|
Sends registered receptionists, interpreters,
and sightseeing volunteers during conventions. (Travel expenses of 2,000 yen per
day as well as lunches or 1,000 yen are required.)

Conventions to be subsidized must aim to promote
Ehime Prefecture and meet all the conditions below. |

| 1. |
Participants are not from Shikoku Region. In the following cases (a) and (b),
subsidies are limited to 50%. However, normal subsidies apply to conventions if
days of accommodation exceed 2,000 in total.
(a) Conventions are regularly held in Shikoku Region.
(b) Conventions are not held in Chugoku or Shikoku Regions but are held in a regular
basis. |

Conventions are not held for profit-making purposes. |
| 3. |
Conventions are not held for political and religious activities. |
| 4. |
Conventions are not offensive to public order and morals. |
| 5. |
Conventions contribute to industrial, economic, academic, technical, or cultural
promotion. |
| 6. |
Organizers must not be a vital member of a relevant prefecture or municipality,
or fund more than 50% for holding a convention. |
| 7. |
Organizers do not receive subsidies from other organizers described in 6 above.
|
| 8. |
Number of participants, who are not from Matsuyama City and staying in accommodations
in the city, exceeds 100. The number is calculated by multiplying the number of
participants and days of accommodation.
Organizers must meet other conditions specified by President of Bureau. |

If participants include more than 5 foreign nationals (except students and
nonresident aliens in Japan), 20,000 yen per person is added to subsidies. However,
the maximum limit is 300,000 yen in total. |

Subsidies are provided within a budget. Regardless of the item 2 above, the
amounts are limited to 1/5 of the expenses of conventions. Less than 1,000 yen
is rounded down. |
